AI-OR Experimentalists: Space Shuttle Payload Processing

This problem class was suggested by Wei Zhang. He writes:

I am working on the scheduling problems based on specifications for the NASA space shuttle payload processing scheduling problem. These are discrete scheduling problems. I am interested to see the solutions produced by other methods.

Two problem sets are available for ftp access from here:

An artificial problem set in the file art_set.tar.Z.
A problem set generated based on three payload processing jobs in the file sspp_set.tar.Z.
