Barton C. Massey
Assistant Professor of Computer Science
Portland State University
Current Status
I am currently teaching a variety of topics at the PSU CS
Department, two hours up the road from CIRL. My current web page is of course
there now, and you may be more interested in it.
History
I worked at
CIRL on hard AI and algorithms
sorts of things. In Fall 1998, I accepted my current position
at PSU, and moved to Portland. I completed my
U. Oregon dissertation
Winter 1999 and defended Spring 1999. I still make it down to CIRL
reasonably regularly, and hope to continue working with the CIRL folks.
Archives
Softcopy of some of my
papers
is available.
My
FTP directory at CIS
and my
FTP directory at CIRL
contain these and other random things.
My current version of the UO LaTeX
thesis/dissertation macros is available (from my machine
at PSU). This is a much-improved
version consisting of LaTeX2e class files which appear to be fairly
robust. Several dissertations have now been successfully published
using these macros.
Miscellaneous
I have been involved in some exploration of Java. You
can see some of my
early experiments,
or take a look at some
articles
I have written.
