Bridge
Bridge is a card game played by four players. As with virtually all
card games, one of its primary features is that it is a game of
imperfect information in that different players have different
information about the actual state of the game. This is one of
several features that make it difficult for machines to be competent
bridge players.
CIRL
While humans currently outplay computers in this game, computer bridge
players are improving rapidly. This is due almost entirely to work
done at CIRL on the bridge-playing program GIB.
